Membership Benefits

The ISU offers a range of membership benefits, some of which are exclusive to the ISU. From death in service payments to free legal advice we cover the varied aspects that can effect your everyday working and home life. We are the only dedicated union for people working in Border Force, Enforcement, Customs, Immigration and UKVI.
Join us and be part of something that works with you.
SDA/AHW/AAA Benefit Payments
If you lose your SDA/AHW/AAA allowance due to sickness, the ISU can reimburse you for £49 per week for up to a 12 month maximum period. You must be a fully paid member of the ISU for 6 months before you can claim for this benefit. T&Cs apply.
Personal Accident Cover
The ISU provides £70 per week to cover the loss of earnings as a result of absence from work through injury sustained by accident. Subject to a 12 month maximum period. You must be a fully paying member of the ISU for 6 months to claim this benefit. T&C’s apply.
Death in Service Benefit
The benefit of £3000 is payable to a nominated person if the fully paid up member’s death occurs during his/her employment. This is available to fully paying members up to the age of 70.
Pay & Pensions
As well as nationally campaigning for better pay we also have a dedicated pay team who help members with issues with complex pay queries and questions concerning allowances. We cannot provide financial advice regarding pension options but we can support you in dealing with MyCSP and basic advice about the features of the various pension schemes.
Legal Expenses Cover
Provides cover for all ISU members and immediate household, including any co-habiting partner, children under 21 and parents if they normally live with you in a wide range of disputes whether or not connected to work. This extends to all parts of the UK – members in Scotland and Northern Ireland will also benefit from this coverage. Standard cover is up to £50,000. This service is available to fully paying members.
GP 24
We know how difficult it can be to get a GP appointment at the best of times but particularly for people who work unsocial hours and in places far from home. ISU members and any cohabiting family have access to a 24/7 GP service accessible via mobile phone or computer. This does not require that you change your current NHS GP. You can obtain medical advice, referrals, prescriptions and fit notes from our GP 24 service. This service is available to fully paying members.

ISU members can now benefit from free exclusive access to over a thousand perks, discounts, and freebies from big-name brands and local businesses. The ISU perks platform, powered by PerkJam, covers all aspects of life from entertainment, technology, travel, automotive and more. All current and life members can benefit from the perks (including friends and family).

The ISU has negotiated a Full and Comprehensive Group Insurance Scheme to enhance the support you currently receive from your Union Membership.
No1 CopperPot Credit Union is a not for profit co-operative. We offer savings, loans and mortgages exclusive to the Police Family. The Police Family includes employees of the Border Force and the Home Office. We reward you annually by sharing our profits with you, in the form of an annual dividend.

Great Little Breaks offer a range of handpicked, exclusive short breaks across the UK, all with added extras!
ISU members can enjoy 5% off.
