Overseas

ISU members posted as Entry Clearance Officers or Managers to British Embassies or High Commissions overseas are seconded to the Foreign & Commonwealth Office, with diplomatic status, whilst abroad.

For most these postings are career highlights, offering wonderful opportunities to live and work immersed in a different culture. However for people who encounter personal or professional difficulties while serving overseas, the experience can be particularly distressing and isolating. It’s extremely difficult to be half a world from home in times of trouble.

ISU Reps do the job that you do. Many of our representatives have experience working overseas and know the pressures it can bring. We have the experience and and expertise in your work area which gives the ISU an unrivaled reputation in resolving issues for our overseas.

As always we are led by the needs and welfare of our members.

Feel part of a solution, wherever you are in the world..
