Sometimes you need to speak to someone about an issue that may be personal or the stress from an issue at work may be getting to much to bear. There are a sites that can help with stress, depression, anxiety, debt, bereavement, work life balance and many other issues you may be facing that you feel no one close to you can help with.

Below you will find some services relating to mental health and wellbeing that are recommended by the ISU


EAP


The Home Office Employee Assistance Program provides information, advice and support 24 hours a day, 365 days a year. (Management support is available Monday- Friday 8am – 6pm)

The Charity for Civil Servants has a huge range of options to support mental health and wellbeing. The main website is here https://www.cfcs.org.uk/

The service offers financial support if you need to pay for access to private support. If you qualify for support you get a years free membership to Anxiety UK. There are mental health courses, anxiety resources, a wellbeing at work hub. The support on this site is truly extensive.


Maximus


Maximus, formally known as Remploy, offer a free 9 month tailored support programme for individual with mental health difficulties in the workplace. It is often recommended as part of an OHS review but you can access it as an individual at any time.
